Deco Fruit

Deco Fruit is a real autumn item in the Fresh from Nature® product range. After all, when the days become shorter, you want to make your indoor environment even more inviting. And what better way to do this than with the decorative Deco Fruit from Fresh from Nature®? These mini-fruits (just 2 to 5 centimetres in diameter) are strikingly green, red, black, striped or fuzzy. Put the fruits in a glass bowl, use them in a flower arrangement, or create something beautiful in a wicker basket and place it on a table or by the front door. There are so many ways to use them! Deco Fruit is available as mini pumpkins (also nice during Halloween), tomatoes, gooseberries, kiwis and kiwanos. These are decorative products only, and not suitable for consumption.

Care tips

These fruits last a long time. They will remain attractive for a few months as long as they are kept dry and not in cold storage. Once dried, the fruits will remain attractive for a very long time. Autumn and winter pumpkins can sometimes be stored for months. Ultimately, however, they slowly dry out and gradually lose their colour. The fruits are not suitable for consumption.

Interesting facts

So what is a tomato, actually: a fruit or a vegetable? In 1893, the United States Supreme Court decided that according to American law, the tomato should be considered a vegetable (and not a fruit). The tomato is also considered a vegetable in the Netherlands. And, just like tomatoes, the pumpkin is considered a vegetable and is in the same family as the cucumber. Since the kiwano is also a member of the cucumber family, it, too, is considered a vegetable. Fortunately, however, the kiwi and the gooseberry are considered fruits, so we can still refer to our Deco Fruit from Fresh from Nature® as fruits. In any case, you can use these products, which are not suitable for consumption, to make very pretty autumn decorations! And make them even prettier by adding some tree bark, autumn leaves, acorns and chestnuts that are fun to go out and collect with your children or grandchildren.
